ANNUAL TASTE OF TRI DELTA, TREASURES UNDER THE
SEA. was held at the Denver Aquarium, April
8, 2011.
The event featured appetizers,
cocktails, and a delicious buffet dinner. The
event had 10 $100 dollar sponsors helping to
make it a wonderful success. A silent auction
featured everything imaginable including three
famous Deltas Of Wines. The event, once
again, had a "Hat Tree" to benefit the children
in the Cancer and Blood Disorders Center. Event
proceeds, silent auction, patrons donations,
and memorial donations increased our endowment
fund this year by $14,280. Thank you all
!!!!

Tri Delta Endowment For Children’s Hospital
Colorado Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders
Happy New Year Tri Delta Sisters,
As we enter 2012, it seems unbelievable that it was
40 years ago that we embarked on a new philanthropy
supporting the oncology department at “Denver’s
Children’s Hospital”. In those 40 years,
with your fantastic support, and generosity, our efforts
have helped to make Children’s Hospital Colorado
Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) one of
the best pediatric oncology/hematology treatment centers
in the world.
 An endowment is a gift that makes an impact for generations
to come, and ours will. The Tri Delta Children’s
Cancer Endowment is now at $1.6 million and with your
help will continue to grow. A few of the programs our
endowment has funded include: fellowships, the teen
and young adult program, sponsoring Dr. Nicholas Forman
to head the neuro-oncology program, providing the center
with a Spanish-speaking social worker, and the all
important patient/family support fund. Your endowed
funds have a huge impact now, and will have in perpetuity.
In 2012 the CCBD will receive $81,516 from our endowment.
This is $6,000 more than last year. In addition to
our support for ongoing clinical programs, in 2012
we will be sponsoring the production of a video for
the siblings of children being treated in the cancer
center. The video will focus on all aspects of the
family dynamics and is specifically made to help siblings.
It will also be used to educate pediatric oncology
staff members. Not only will this be a huge help to
the patients’ families, but it is anticipated
that this video’s impact will go far beyond Colorado.
